A founding member of MI Global Partners (MIGP), Tom has a deep understanding of the sports, events, tourism and arts & culture industries. He has an impressive record of delivery for clients across major programs and projects and has advised governments, cultural institutions, sports organisations and tourism authorities. He has led strategic and operational planning and delivery of Olympic Games, Rugby World Cups and other major international events and has led multidisciplinary teams in master planning, design, feasibility, business cases and the procurement of sport, arts, cultural, and tourism infrastructure.

 

Tom has been Project Director developing the strategy for the renewal of the Sydney Opera House and Development Director for the $820m refurbishment of Stadium Australia. He has led a national Sport Venue Master Plan for the State of Qatar, and a master planning framework for VenuesWest’s portfolio of venues, along with providing advice to the Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust master plan and grandstand redevelopment projects.

 

Tom has been the Project Director responsible for the following projects:

• Developing the strategy and leading the designs and business case to support the renewal of the Sydney Opera House

• Developing the strategy and business case to support the redevelopment of Stadium Australia

• Developing an Aboriginal Tourism strategy for the Northern Territory Government

• Strategic reviews for the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust

• Facilitated the development of strategic plans & business cases for the Australian War Memorial, Events Queensland, Australian Rugby Union, Basketball Australia, Trippas White Group and the New Zealand Show

Tom is a keen cyclist and sailor who races blue water offshore and crews on performance inshore boats. In his spare time, Tom also enjoys rebuilding his Mako 19 centre console fishing boat.
