SailGP

The 2023 SailGP Season 3 in Sydney required an on the ground sustainability expert to provide advice to the local organising committee (LOC) and their key stakeholders ensuring the successful delivery of ISO 20121 certification requirements. The project involved regular meetings with key stakeholders such as the LOC, waste contractors, local government agencies, procurement teams, catering and hospitality contractors and athletes, along with the event management staff to ensure the key event sustainability obligations and targets for Sydney were met.

MIGP also measured and monitored the carbon footprint for the event to be 3rd party verified by One Carbon World and delivered a suite of recommendations for improvements for Season 4 and beyond
