Football Australia required assistance to assess and articulate the holistic economic and broader benefits Australia will generate through hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and its associated Legacy Programs. This scope of work enabled Football Australia to access an additional $15 million in Federal Government funding.

MI were also engaged to deliver an Infrastructure and Overlay Strategy to support FIFA for various venue inspections and deliver the final strategy.

Additionally, MI undertook a review of the tournament operational risk framework providing recommendations, guidance and supported the team in the mitigation of the tournament’s risks, resulting in identification of specific contingency plans to be developed - providing key inputs into the design and delivery of a readiness framework.
